At first i will congratulate with the fantastiv effort in the Tour de France!

I live in a small valley in Norway, Beiarn. In Norwegian Wikipedia, it is written that your great-grand-parents were Norwegian immigrants to Canada. Yesterday my grandmother talked to a woman who has moved out from Beiarn that a famous bicycle rider from Canada had relatives in Beiarn. 

Of course, i got very interested in this case, and i wonder if you know where in Norway your immigrated great-grand-parents were from, and maybe what the maiden name of your great grand mother?

I am a big fan of you, and it would be awesome to be able to brag to my bike interested friends that you have relatives from the same valley as me!

I wish I could be up there with you on the bike! Even if I had a 1/4 of your talent, I'd be happy!

              My name is Stef, the french Canadian who's always at the Trek pro city shop. I want to congradulate you for your achievment. Without knowing it you were a great inspiration for me. As you probably notice at the bike shop I develope a serious addiction to alcohol to a point to try to kill myself a few time and I will loose my job with the navy. I stopped drinking a month prior to the tour and I was really struggling but watching your perfomance at the tour made me feel better and inspired me. I know have been sober since that time and I will be going to a treatment center in few weeks. I will bring the water bottle you gave me as a inspiration. Don't worrie im not a groopie or stocker I just use what inspire me to help me out throught rough time! Also I was wondering if you know if the team will sell some frameset at the end of the year?

Congratulations on a remarkable finish in the Tour De France! I was upset when Thor Hushovd overtook you on that Stage that was yours until the end. What an excellent job!  You've done Canada (and BC) proud and you've put Canada back in the bicycle race!

May your good luck continue for all future races! Wish they'd show more of them on TV.

Enhorabuena by your great tour of France! I am Spanish and a great one fan yours, you are an authentic fighter and the ace I throw brilliant. Next year surely these in the drawer of Paris. Desearte much Ryder luck and if you come to the return to Spain, in the stage of podriamos Corner of Grove us to know alive, to 5km of there. A greeting and lasts with them!

 I am the same height as you 6'2" and weight 185 lbs and wish I weighed 170lbs.  How do you stay so thin? Is it just riding alot as a pro or do you watch your diet?

Hey, My name is Steven. Im 16 Im from Richmond B.C. First of all I would like to say that your riding was amazing. Your determination is incredible. I've always been interested in the sport. I have been a long distance runner for quite a while but I wanted a change. I bought a road bike and i'm really getting into it. Fantastic TDF for you and, in spite of it all, the team. It was captivating watching you hang in there, while watching the battles raging amongst all of the specialists and the GC riders. As an ageing come-to-cycling-late recreational rider, I marvel at your skill, endurance and overall fitness and most especially at what must be incredible pain tolerance! I imagine I am leading the peleton while out for a ride--what must it really be like, I wonder...Congratulations on your 2010 TDF. Sorry I didn't know more about your earlier career! I just wanted to say a big Congratulations on your performance at the Tour de France this year. We watched your performance all the way through the 3 weeks of racing. I used to race mtn bikes against you in the BC Cup.  Ended up naming my first born son after you.  Figured I couldn't go wrong with a name like that!  He's four and has his first mtn bike race under his belt.
